Conversion rate, and why small lifts compound

Conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who take the action you want — buy, sign up, book a call, submit a lead. It is the efficiency of your website and funnel: two businesses can drive identical traffic, and the one that converts better wins on every metric downstream, from CAC to ROAS to revenue. The formula is conversions divided by visitors, times 100.

This calculator returns your rate from those two numbers, and then does the more useful thing: it shows what a higher conversion rate would be worth in extra conversions at the same traffic. This is the heart of conversion rate optimisation (CRO) — because you have already paid to acquire the traffic, lifting the rate is often the cheapest growth available. Moving from 2% to 2.5% on the same visitors is a 25% increase in conversions with no extra ad spend.

A meaningful conversion rate depends on context: source, intent, device and offer all move it. Cold social traffic converts differently from high-intent search; a free trial converts differently from a 2,000 purchase. So compare your rate against your own history and segment, not a generic industry average. And make sure you are measuring the right conversion — a high rate on a low-value action is not always progress.

TriMediaX applies behavioural science and disciplined testing to lift conversion rates — decoding why visitors hesitate and removing the friction. Check your rate here, then let us turn the traffic you already pay for into more customers.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate conversion rate?+

Divide the number of conversions by the number of visitors and multiply by 100. 40 conversions from 2,000 visitors is a 2% conversion rate.

What is a good conversion rate?+

It varies widely by industry, traffic source and offer. Rather than chasing a generic benchmark, compare against your own history and improve from there.

Why does a small conversion lift matter so much?+

Because you have already paid for the traffic. Raising the rate from 2% to 2.5% is a 25% increase in conversions with no extra acquisition cost.

What affects conversion rate?+

Traffic quality and intent, page speed, clarity of offer, trust signals, friction in the funnel, and device experience all move the rate.

How does TriMediaX improve conversion rates?+

We use behavioural analysis and structured A/B testing to find where visitors hesitate and remove that friction, lifting the rate on traffic you already have.
